Last night Senate Democrats hurriedly adjusted their ties and smoothed over loose hairs, resumed the vote count disgruntled but determined after the insurrection. “It’s absolutely appalling,” Chuck Schumer said, taking his seat in the chamber just hours after the Capitol was secured. “We need to vote him out.”
