SAN FRANCISCO- Travelers are beginning to take to the skies as COVID-19 restrictions ease, but many feel safer flying JetBlue because they now guarantee one Filipino to check in on everyone during the flight. Filipino doctors, nurses, healthcare workers, and even stay at home mom’s that make delicious Chicken Adobo are being recruited by the thousands to join the JetBlue initiative that is putting many travelers at ease.
JetBlue asks passengers to get their temperatures checked before boarding. They will allow anyone on board to check in with a designated JetBlue Filipino if they are feeling any symptoms or if they just want an opinion on a weird mole. If any passengers are not wearing a mask during the flight, they will be given a mask handmade by somebody’s Lola.
Appointed officials also include only one Karen. Though she never wears HER mask correctly, she ensures, in case of an emergency, everyone else wears a face covering under their oxygen mask. All other Karens are removed from the airline thus allowing for a healthier atmosphere and racial tranquility. This new policy comes in place after JetBlue was under fire for having too many Karen passengers.
“The one Filiipino policy should be on every airline,” says JetBlue passenger Mike Valencia, “The last JetBlue flight I took, the Filipino guy did a breakdance down the aisle after taking everyone’s temperature. He was funny too! I don’t know about that one Karen policy. Even just one Karen is too many Karens.”
