Mimi Kim, proud iPhone owner and Google Maps expert, has been known to be overly reliant and overall not great with directions without any guidance, sources confirmed.
“I was walking around on the street, and a woman approached me asking for directions to Washington Square Park,” Kim explained. “This is now the third time someone has asked me for directions. I don’t know what it is about my kind face, but I really wish my face would just instead give away ‘I am really fucking bad with directions’ vibes instead.”
Kim struggled to provide directions based on prior knowledge; she had too much pride to take out her phone to simply look up the directions. Directions requestor, Hanna Fu, took her word.
“I am just a simple tourist, and I am too stupid to have the wherewithal to use my phone for directions. It’s called engaging with regular folks! That’s how we live more exciting lives! Anyway, I went completely the wrong way thanks to Mimi’s directions and ended up in Harlem. Which was fine but it was like an hour and half away from where I was supposed to meet my friend for lunch,” Fu lamented.
Georgia Bingham, the voice behind Kim’s Google Maps narration, had a few choice words about Kim’s reliance on the navigation application.
“This bitch is so stupid I swear to god. Hanna asked her for directions to Washington Square Park and they were two blocks away from the park. ALSO? Mimi walks through that park EVERYDAY for work. I swear to god she gets out on the wrong side of a building’s entrance and all of a sudden she’s stepped foot into an international country. Anyway, if it weren’t for me, she’d end up in Coney Island every fucking day,” Bingham asserted.
Later that day, Kim was seen using Google Maps to navigate the inside of the multi-story SOHO H&M.
