Popular commentary Youtube channel Jubilee recently released the latest installment of their “Middle Ground” social experiment, a series in which they pit groups with opposing viewpoints against each other in the hopes of finding commonalities. In this most recent episode, Jubilee gives equal voices and screentime to both local Asian-Americans and violent, convicted hate crimers.

“My thinking was that if Asians could sit down and have a discussion with the racists that want them dead, they could perhaps empathize and even agree with some of their points,“ says Jubilee founder Jason Lee, “it’s time to end the stigma around hate crimers. Us Asians need to give them a platform and listen.”

The episode begins with the producer saying, “step forward if you believe Asians should go back to where they come from.” Immediately, the entire Hate Crimer side rushed forward and sat at the chairs in front of the camera. 5-time convicted grannie-puncher Matthew Raciste opened up the balanced, healthy debate by saying, “if they don’t want to be assaulted, then why do they look like that?” The rest of the group concurred.

“Wow, I really think we’re getting somewhere,” stated Lee while wiping tears from eyes, “now time to forever memorialize this online and disseminate this to our millions of subscribers.”

For the rest of the episode, the criminals continue sharing stories of their felonies and congratulating each other with fist bumps. “When do we get to talk?” asked local Chinese-American Andrea Huang standing in the background, “isn’t this supposed to be two-sided debate?”

“Then you need to start agreeing with some of these prompts. We can’t find middle ground if you’re so stuck in your ways,” replied the producer, “now for our next question, step forward if you think Asians are smelly, loud, and ugly!”

The hate crimers broke into a sprint.
