Warner Media (WM) has announced that they will begin filming on an entirely White American family remake of Everything Everywhere All at Once. The wildly popular action sci-fi dramedy was originally written by the Daniels and starred an all Asian cast.
“Look, people just want to see themselves reflected on the big screen,” stated WM executive Charles Wilson. “There are families in America that don’t look like the family portrayed in the original, so we’re just trying to fill that gap.”
Screenplay author, Tracey Forman, and her team of writers of the new script for Warner Media were very excited for the world to see their latest work.
“We think it’s important for us to tell our truth, and let others seek validation through our lived experiences,” she explained. “The 10 minute ‘fuck you mom you fucking bitch’ scene we’re particularly excited about filming. We think that one will really put our writing and the actors’ performances in the running for next year’s Academy Awards.”
“It’s a scene that so naturally brews to the surface when Laila isn’t allowed to use her mom’s credit card to buy a pair of Gucci slippers,” dishes Forman. “I know it’s such a spoiler, but it’s just so beautifully poignant of their relationship.”
When asked to comment on this new remake, the Daniels simply responded with, “Yeah, that tracks.”
