Words From an Empath: Has Anyone Tried Talking to Omicron?

Aren’t we all victims at the end of the day?

I get that times are tough right now. I’d even go as far to say they’re unprecedented, which is saying a lot. Right when we all thought we were out of the pandemic, when we thought we had tackled the Delta variant and put an end to COVID-19, Omicron came out of the vaginal canal and took his first breaths. We watched him suckle on his mother’s tit, take his first steps, and bully other little 2nd graders on the playground. Before we knew it, he had grown up, taken a wife of his own, and infected the greater part of the United States. For all the pain and suffering he is causing, have we thought about all the pain he’s experiencing inside? Have we as the human race completely forgotten the adversities we all must go through?

You might be wondering, ‘Who is this bitch?’ I am an empath, it’s my job and natural calling to think about what everyone is feeling and what I can do to alleviate their stress. My credentials? Living. Existing in this strange little world called Earth. I didn’t ask to be an empath, as empath’s rarely do. I was called into this prestigious role after being victimized one too many times by my highschool girlfriends. I just knew I felt deeper than other people, when I read the news and felt bad for those little Syrians in 2017.

I keep hearing in the news how they need to shut down thousands of flights to keep Omicron at bay. If they just let me on one of those planes, let me talk to Omi, I could calm him down. I could show him reason. After all, I’m one of the boys.
