Man Wishes Therapist a Happy Father’s Day Because He Accidentally Called Him Dad Once

“I mean he’s much more supportive than my actual father.”

CHICAGO —  As his therapy session was coming to a close, Joseph Halloway called his therapist “Dad,” so now he is wishing Dr. Morrison a Happy Father’s Day.

“I figured it was the least I could do. I mean Dr. Morrison is much more supportive than my actual father, but I don’t actually view him as my father though. It was just a slip of the tongue,” explained Halloway.

Dr. Morrison shared his thoughts on the situation.

“Oh yeah. He totally meant that,” Dr. Morrison claimed, “I know I’m not supposed to talk about my clients publicly but Joseph is really weird. Like really weird to a point that I fear for my own safety. Last week he texted me at 3 AM to play a game of catch in his backyard. Every now and then he’ll call me saying it’s an emergency but in reality he needs help changing his tire. Now this? Sending me beef jerky and power tools on Father’s Day? I believe he’s in store for a dissociative diagnosis.”

Joseph Halloway Sr., Joseph Halloway’s father, expressed some confusion over his son’s behaviors.

“I don’t get it. I was there his whole life. I housed him, I bathed him. We’re talking about little Johnny right? Oh you mean Joseph? Oh… yeah that kid is weird. He was put in juvenile detention at 16. He should still be in confinement because the last therapist he had he bit his thumb off. The not so little guy should be 23 now. Wait… you’re telling me he escaped???”

A few weeks after the interview, we tried to catch up with Halloway but he was busy moving a long rug into a van. Dr. Morrison could not be reached for comment.
