Masses of White Allies at Protests Proudly Display Korean Hearts

White Americans somehow have misunderstood the assignment once again.

Last week, a white gunman entered three different asian-owned spas and killed 8 people, 6 of which were Asian women. As outrage ensued, white allies of the AAPI community took to the streets to protest the spike in Asian-related hate crimes, but many of these of white allies are quite familiar with the act of protesting for social justice issues. Last summer, many of these same white allies unabashedly exhibited Black Power Fists, and so they have now determined the equivalent for Asian Americans would be the famed Korean heart. The question remains, “Who’s gonna tell them?”
