SAN DIEGO – On March 14th 2021, a giant panda named Gao Gao escaped from his exhibit at the San Diego Zoo. He did so by eating through his ceiling made entirely of bamboo. Gao Gao became the first Panda to have a breakthrough in 93 years. His whereabouts are still unknown, even though he’s a literal giant.
When asked about the incident, the San Diego zookeepers were embarrassed. They agreed that “bamboo ceiling” sounds dumb, and they cringe when they hear it. “We shouldn’t have made the panda cages out of the one thing they eat,” they admitted. “That’s like making zebra cages out of hay. Or making the lion cages out of zebras!”
