Keep your friends close and powerful white men closer.

As the first Black and Asian-American woman to be elected Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris is inspiring Black and Brown women across America to continue working for old white men.

Across the country, the message to women of color is clear: “Keep your friends close and powerful white men closer.”

Business woman Monique Jackson was planning to leave her corporate job because of the lack of diversity among the company’s executives. But she said Kamala Harris has helped her realize that working for accomplished aging white men can be a real path to success.

“I now aspire to work for old, white men whenever I can,” said Jackson, whose presence has doubled her company’s diversity numbers. “The older, the better. We have to aim for those promotions.”

Professional Black and Brown women are now changing their workplace attitudes in hopes of following in Harris’s footsteps. Jackson said she used to get frustrated when the bosses never paid attention to her ideas at the staff meetings. But now, she asks the nearest white man to say her ideas for her, and they’re finally getting recognition.

“I’m determined to be like Kamala,” Jackson said. “One day, I can be the number two in charge of this company.”

Women of color are hailing Harris’ life and experience as examples that anything is possible for them in America as long as they stay in the company of white men.

“I changed my Tinder filter to white men only,” said law student Preeti Ghori, “I stopped dating them because I was tired of being exotic, but if Kamala Harris married one, they must be useful.”

The most devoted Harris fans are on the hunt for white step-children and have begun calling the police on people of color.
