Following the rapid turnover of former Prime Minister Liz Truss, current PM Rishi Sunak apologized in advance at a press conference for his inevitable resignation as well. “I regret that I will have taken this nation’s economic troubles and made them even worse,” said the first British Asian PM, “but I want to offer my sincerest heartfelt apologies now for when I will voluntarily step down as this nation’s leader.”
The Conservative Party is reportedly already looking for replacements, asking for candidates that would resign before their election to avoid the trouble of switching PMs altogether.
