NEW YORK, N.Y. – Forbes announced late last night it was unveiling a new competitive benchmark for young and old hopefuls everywhere, something that would rival their iconic 30 under 30 list – and be just as competitive.

“We thought – what haven’t we seen before? There’s a lot of copycat behavior these days, and we wanted to curate something that was unique and refreshing.” Remarked editor-in-chief and namesake Steve Forbes. “It came to us during one of our late-night board meetings. The idea hit a few of us after we pledged allegiance to the flag of the United States of America at the top of the meeting. This country – it’s incredible – and we wanted to do a deep dive to see if there were any others like it. A few hours, and cups of caffeine-” Steve chuckled, “later, the list was born.”

Forbes 2021 American Countries List was unveiled the following business day. The criteria: be an American country. A seemingly simple task, but proved impossible for other countries when, after some deliberation, it became clear they weren’t American.

“It’s a shame,” Lamented fellow American Johnny Rocket. “You’d think there surely would be others out there. People know how great America is. I just don’t understand.”
