Ellicott City, MD: Sources say local 15 year old sophomore Thomas Yung has some good news as his mother has finally forgiven him for a mistake that she made.

“Where do I even begin?” asked Thomas, “I know my mom is very busy with work and my other siblings but she was supposed to pick me up after marching band practice. She never showed up so I walked home. She got mad at me and told me that I should have driven myself home. Somehow it was my fault that, as a 15 year old, I did not own a car and did not know how to drive it. I’m thankful she finally forgave me even though it was a week later.”

We asked Thomas Yung’s mother what led to her forgiveness..

“When I was 15, I had two jobs and I walked six miles to school everyday with two buckets of water on my shoulders and a backpack,” stated Alice Yung. “On my most productive days, I would steal a car with my brother to get home. He was 10 and I was 8. I’d steer while he hit the gas pedal. There is absolutely no reason for Thomas to walk home. I couldn’t believe he made such a stupid decision like that. But as a good parent, you have to forgive your children, even if they won’t commit grand theft auto.”

However, this is not the first time a situation like this has occurred in the family.

“It wasn’t until her 6th birthday party that I finally forgave her,” claimed Wei Yung, Alice’s mother. “She was born on my way over to America from China which made it way harder for her to become a citizen. I guess I could have left China a few days earlier but it was the week of the Mid Autumn Festival. My pregnant cravings demanded at least 15 mooncakes before I departed for the United States. I was so mad that Alice was born before we arrived that I didn’t talk to her for the first 3 years of her life. I eventually forgave her though because that’s what good parents do.”

When asked to comment, Thomas’ father said he didn’t even know his son was in the marching band.
