28-year-old Megan Seo was working on her Killing Eve moodboard when her roommate Lauryn Renner walked by and said, “Oh my god, I love the diversity of these gorgeous women. What countries are these goddesses of color from? Wait, don’t tell me, I’m an ally.”

Renner then proceeded to point out two different photos of Sandra Oh and scrutinized both of them, lecturing Seo, “I can tell the difference between Chinese and Japanese faces. See, this āyí on the left has almond-shaped eyes and Mandarin cheekbones while this onee-san on the right has a Shinjuku nose. I’m sure of it, I had a lot of Asian friends growing up so I learned to tell them apart at a young age.”

“They’re both Sandra Oh,” interrupted Seo.

“Really? I didn’t know she was mixed,” replied Renner.
